  Is YPLS the Right Choice for You?

Young People’s Language School (YPLS) is looking for motivated students who have a strong desire to be successful in life. You should be prepared to work hard and be ready to join in the community of students at YPLS.

  Admission Requirements

• See the program pages for admission requirements specific to each program.
• You require a custodian in Ottawa if you are under 18 years of age.
• You must live with a homestay family. (Students may not live on their own.)

  Conditions of Enrolment

    • Attendance

You are expected to attend classes five days a week. If you are late for class, the teacher may refuse you entrance. Students must attend at least 90% of their classes to receive a certificate. Students must bring a note from their homestay family or custodian if they miss school for any length of time.

    • Discipline

You must obey the laws of Canada. Failure to do so or failure to follow the rules of YPLS will lead to dismissal from the school and loss of tuition fees. If dismissed from school, students will be asked to return to their home country.
