GAC University Bridging Program

The GAC (Global Assessment Certificate) University Bridging Program, a product of ACT Education Solutions Ltd. (American College Testing), is the world’s most recognized university preparation program for students who do not have English as their first language.

Successful completion of the university preparation program will guarantee students entry into a bachelor degree at one of many Pathway Universities in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand.

Course Structure

  • 36 weeks (three 12-week sessions)
  • 9:00 – 4:30 Monday to Friday
  • Courses: Mathematics, Science, Business, Data Management, Communications, Listening and Speaking Skills, Reading and Writing Skills
  • Independent study hours
  • International academic language test preparation (IELTS, TOEFL, CAEL)
  • Ongoing assessment at each level and ACT assessment at the end of the program
  • Lectures, seminars, tutorials, group work, class discussion and presentations

  • Upon successful completion of the program, have a guaranteed pathway to one of over 110 universities in Canada, the USA, the UK, Australia and New Zealand
  • Receive credit transfers at select universities
  • Be immersed in the English language and be fully prepared to study at an English speaking university
  • With high academic standing in the program, may be eligible to receive conditional letters of acceptance from certain universities
  • Acquire theoretical and practical research skills
  • Learn in independent and cooperative settings
  • Have university admission requirements including ACT scores and GAC GPA
  • Acquire advanced IT skills

Admission Requirements

  • High school graduate
  • TOEFL 500, IELTS 5.0 or equivalent
  • Take the GAC entry test
  • Certified translated copies of report cards (used for university admission)
  • Letter of recommendation from high school
