Young People's Language School is located in downtown Ottawa in a newly renovated heritage building that was once a high school. Students can walk from YPLS to shops, cafes and Canada’s Parliament buildings.
Inside the school
The YPLS building has everything a student needs. In addition to the classrooms and language labs, students have access to a gymnasium, auditorium, cafeteria and outdoor sportsfield. There are lots of open spaces inside and out to meet and talk with each other.

Walk to many of Ottawa’s best-known tourist attractions:
• Downtown – shops and restaurants
• Parliament Hill – the seat of Canada’s government, guarded by the world famous Royal Canadian Mounted Police
• National Art Gallery – a striking glass building that houses international and Canadian art treasures
